Hum/En 22 - Inequality

This class studies a sample group of social hierarchies and explores whether they are natural or artificial, real or perceived, just or unjust. Topics from past years have included covid-19 vaccine inequality; IT worker inequality; happiness inequality; animal inequality; and inequality between humans and generative AI chatbots. We will treat the idea of inequality not as an abstract concept but as a heuristic question that can help us compare and analyze concrete readings.
